Super Juice Deals: Xango, Monavie, Tahitian Noni

Noniice Let me start by saying that Xango, Monavie, and Goji are good products. Even Tahitian Noni is a good product, especially if you like the taste of melted tires and prune juice.

The problem with these good juice products is if they are really good, they will show up in Costco and GNC, because there is nothing unique about juice. You can't patent juice.

I was in Dallas a couple of weeks ago and had a couple of minutes to kill so I walked into a GNC. On one shelf I found every juice product being sold in Network Marketing today at 1/3 of the price. When you can get the exact same product that provides the exactg same benefit for 1/3 of the price, that will start to erode your business.

I believe that Xango is hitting a wall now (in growth) mostly because the once unique mangosteen product is not so unique any longer. In fact, Costco has a more potent mangoteen product for less money.

Bottom line, look for a Network Marketing product that is unique and even better one that has patents.

Amway and Mary Kay Wait for China News

YESTERDAY was the deadline for door-to-door sales companies to apply for licenses after China lifted a seven-year ban on the business practice on December 1 last year.

As the Ministry of Commerce hasn't yet released the batch of licenses for November, major foreign applicants including Amway (China) Co Ltd and Mary Kay (China) may still be phased out of the direct-sales business.

"We are very confident this time that Mary Kay will be in the last batch of door-to-door sales companies with its years of experience and practice in the field," said Zhou Liyu, spokesman at Mary Kay's China unit.

Officials at Amway said the company's application was being reviewed and it expected results to be released soon.

Legitimate door-to-door retailers suffered on the Chinese mainland as the government cracked down on all forms of direct sales in 1998 in an effort to rein in rampant fraud involving pyramid schemes.

More Pink Truth

On the Road with Dave writes about the Pink "Truth" stink. You will want to check it out. He has a cached page link to the post that I deleted because Ms. Pink Truth didn't like my opinion and threatened me with a lawsuit so that I would keep my opinion about her web traffic to myself.

I'm not sure how the Ms. Pink Truth finds time to "investigate fraud" since she seems to be pretty busy (proudly?) threatening people with lawsuits.

Personal Note to Dave: You might want to get the cache of this one ready.

The Truth About MLM Mailing Lists

If you are involved in a multi-level advertising program, then you know that the answer to making a lot of money is to recruit others to become a part of your downline. Once your referrals sign up, you'll start earning commissions on their sales in addition to your own. That's the kind of income stream that makes these programs striking to people. However, this assumes that you either have a wide enough network of existing prospects to pitch your program to, or that you don't mind making calls all day long to people who may or may not be interested in what you have to say. If neither of those statements applies to you, maybe you should consider purchasing MLM mailing lists.

John Milton Fogg: Connect the Dots

John Milton Fogg from Transforming MLM:

For years I've been encouraging network marketers to connect the dots: What can be learned from other disciplines, industries, life and work endeavors... that you can apply to your business-building efforts?

Ctdots My experience is, most networkers are either unwilling or unable to do such connecting. That's too bad. Outside the box.. as said in The Greatest Networker... "What you don't know that you don't know," contains more knowledge and wisdom than a box over-flowing with all you do know.

This, just learned:

We all know the day after Thanksgiving is THE number one busiest day of the year for American retailers of all kinds. Any idea who else in the US has their busiest day of the year on that "Black" Friday?

Plumbers.

Your dots.

Happy connecting.

Can Mannatech Cure Legal Problems?

On Web sites and in sales pitches, nutritional supplements from Mannatech Inc. are said to treat and even cure everything from attention deficit disorder to cancer.

Such claims, as described by consumers in complaints to the Federal Trade Commission obtained by The Dallas Morning News, would be illegal under federal regulations for dietary supplements.

Mannatech has attracted attention from miracle seekers here and abroad – as well as from the Texas attorney general's office, which revealed in October that it is investigating the company.

"We will shift the focus of our investigation to the lobbying suspicions from now on," a prosecution official told reporters on condition of anonymity.
