Rich Razgaitis Promoted to President, North America for Univera

Univera:

Univera announces the promotion of Rich Razgaitis from Executive Vice President of North America to President, North America, effective immediately. In this role he will continue to report to CEO Stuart Ochiltree. This promotion is a result of the significant growth of Univera business in North America as well as the acknowledgment of Rich’s noteworthy achievements in catalyzing that growth since he joined the company in January 2006. The promotion is also a reflection of an expanded role for the Sales and Marketing Departments with regard to global sales and marketing strategies.

Rich’s promotion was deemed a judicious move by ECONET® and Univera CEO Stuart Ochiltree who states: “Rich has been instrumental in taking Univera’s sales and marketing endeavors to a whole new level. The synergism of Customer Care with Marketing and Sales makes it imperative that one individual oversee the North American operation—and I have every confidence that Rich Razgaitis is capable of the job. Additionally during his tenure as EVP of North America,  Rich was responsible for the extraordinary achievement of leading a significant and successful re-branding of the company from the ground up; this, coupled with devising business initiatives, including additional—and vastly improved—sales materials, has given our Company the platform necessary for global growth and sustainability.”

Razgaitis holds a BA in Marketing and an MBA in General management from Anderson University, Indiana. He comes from a diverse business background in which he’s been involved in complete corporate turnarounds. He has led campaigns to position, brand and bring to market product lines for companies ranging from venture capital backed start-ups to such Fortune 500 icons as Johnson and Johnson and Eli Lilly, generating significant revenue growth for each.

With Razgaitis assuming the role of President, Chief Scientific Officer Stephen Cherniske will have more time to continue his valuable research and product formulation work—constantly keeping Univera in the forefront of ethnobotanical discovery, and its application to bringing the best of nature to humankind. This change will also allow Stephen to continue to represent Univera as a sought-after spokesperson—a role he assumed when he joined the company in 1999.

Word of Mouth Sales Featuring Univera LifeSciences

RecordNet.com:

STOCKTON - Jon Hernandez sells a product. But he doesn't work at a retail store. He doesn't have a manager. Doesn't clock in. And doesn't deal with inventory.

Hernandez, a 28-year old from Stockton, is a direct salesman of Ageless (Xtra) nutrient and energy drinks (from Univera LifeSciences).

Direct sales, the process of soliciting a company's products as an independent salesperson, has long been dominated by women. Most people have associated the marketing method with Avon, Mary Kay and Tupperware. That idea is fading away.

Over the past 20 years, outside industry observers predicted direct sales would eventually plummet. The reasons: as more women entered the workplace, fewer were available to hold events such as Tupperware parties; and with the boom in Internet sales, why would anyone be interested in selling face-to-face?

But time has proved those predictions wrong, said Joseph Mariano, executive vice president and secretary of legal counsel with the Direct Selling Association, a national organization.

Sponsor 3 Who Sponsor 3

By popular demand, I am launching a new series of posts based on the Network Marketing income results when a person sponsors 3 people who sponsor 3 people and they all do $100 in volume.

We will show two companies at a time and then we will keep a running tab on the results at the bottom of each post.

I will show all of the math and the comments will be open for any questions, corrections and debate.

On with the show...

3 who sponsor 3 and each do $100

Quixtar with best Nutrilite Product:
$100 worth of Double X = 131 BV
12 x 131 BV = 1572
PV = 540 (6% Bracket)
1572 x 6% = $94.30
1572 / 3 legs = 524
524 x 3% = $15.72
$15.72 x 3 = $47.16 (pay out to 3 legs)
$94.30 - 47.16 = $47.14 Profit

Quixtar has a stairstep breakaway compensation plan.

Univera with Ageless Xtra 2-1 Combo
$100 = 76 PV
76 x 3 = 228 GV (Group Volume - Level 1)
Group Volume on Level 1 is paid at 15%
228 x 15% = $34.20
76 x 9 = 684 GV (Group Volume on Level 2)
684 x 10% = $68.40
$34.20 + $68.40 = $102.60 Profit

Univera has a hybrid unilevel plan plus daily pay and generational depth bonuses.

Univera Korea

I don't know what is being said, but this is pretty cool...

Quixtar: A Billion in Sales

Quixtar Reports Fourth Consecutive Year of Billion-Dollar Sales

...said the recent press release.

Here is my question.

Is that good?

Quick answer is yes. A billion in sales is great.

Next question.

Is that good for newest Quixtar IBOs?

Quick answer is no. Zero growth is zero growth whether the volume is $1,000 or $1,000,000,000.

I talk to people about Network Marketing every day and many people ask me why I am so hard on Quixtar. I think the answer lies in the fact that the IBO leaders make it sound like Quixtar is a growing business...a great business for the newest person that wants to take charge of his/her destiny. The reality is the growth is stagnant and the sales numbers prove it.

If you are a high level Quixtar leader and your sales go from $20 Million to $19.9 Million, you are still doing OK, but if you are Joe IBO who just got started and your sales go from 200 PV to 199 PV in a year, you have a problem.

There are dozens of growing and stable Network Marketing companies in this industry, Quixtar just doesn't happen to be one of them and based on the lawsuits hanging over it's head, I don't see it turning around in the near future.

Univera LifeSciences

Unigen Issued New Patent - Univera LifeSciences

Unigen Pharmaceuticals is a sister company to Univera LifeSciences.

LACEY, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Unigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leading research and development company of proprietary, biologically active plant-derived ingredients has received notification of approval of a USA patent for Free-B-Ring Flavonoids derived from Chinese Skullcap in supporting its novel Univestin joint health ingredient. This patent brings to 151 the number of US and international patents globally awarded or pending for Unigen.

"Unigen’s PhytoLogix discovery platform has yielded many proprietary bioactive natural products,” said Qi Jia, PhD, lead inventor and Chief Science Officer for Unigen Pharmaceuticals. “The previously issued patent on flavans from Acacia species (Patent Number US 7,108,868 B2) and this recently allowed patent on Free-B-Ring flavonoids demonstrates the capability of Unigen’s science program to discover the novel usage of flavonoids in supporting joint health.”

Univestin is a proprietary blend of two individual ingredients - flavans extracted from Acacia catechu and free-b-ring flavonoids from Scutellaria baicalensis. The newly allowed Free-B-Ring flavonoid USA patent will cover this class of natural products from all potential genus and parts of high plants that include Scutellaria genera for treating osteoarthritis; securing final protection of the individual Univestin components.

Among the patent’s specifically allowable claims is a “method for treating osteoarthritis…[with] an effective amount of a composition comprising a Free-B-Ring flavonoid or a composition containing a mixture of Free-B-Ring flavonoids and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier” through “oral, topical, suppository, intravenous, and intradermic, intragaster, intramusclar, intraperitoneal and intravenous administration.”

About Unigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Unigen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (www.unigenpharma.com ) is a leading natural products research and development company and proprietary ingredients supplier. The company is dedicated to the discovery of botanically derived therapeutic compounds that address consumer health needs and help improve the quality of human life. Its research and discovery process includes extensive work at both the human cell and gene level. Unigen focuses on identifying and studying the unique ingredients of medicinal botanicals and then formulating proprietary raw materials for use in cosmeceutical, nutraceutical, functional food and pharmaceutical products. Unigen is part of the ECONET global family of health and natural product companies which have operations in the United States, Canada, Korea, Mexico, Russia and China.

Fun With Quixtar Numbers

I have said a number of times that Quixtar's compensation plan is outdated and not lucrative, of course many Quixtar IBO's simply write me off because I am involved with a competitor.

So I took a minute to run some actual numbers on two compensation plans.

First Quixtar, then the company I am involved with. I won't mention the name, but you can find it if you look.

Let's look at the possibility of you sponsoring 3 people who sponsor 3 people for a total of 12 people, each selling and/or using $100 in volume.

In Quixtar, you would have about 400 PV ($100 = 33 in volume x 12) in your business and that would pay you in the neighborhood of $30-35.

In the company I am now with you would have 876 ($100 = 87.6 in volume x 12) in group volume and that would pay you in the neigborhood of $90-100.

You build a team that does $1200 in volume in Quixtar and they pay you $30. You build a team that does $1200 in volume in the company I am with and they pay you close to $100.

Univera LifeSciences Associates Help Children in Mississippi

LACEY, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Independent Sales Associates at Univera LifeSciences, the world’s leading healthy-aging relationship marketing company, brightened the holidays for children in rural Mississippi. Over a thousand gifts went to children at Ruleville Elementary and surrounding schools.

Ruleville Elementary– which receives the meal-replacement drink “Essentials” through the Univera Serve First non-profit charity nutrition project- is a rural Mississippi town in an area of extreme poverty in which children – the most vulnerable population – are most adversely impacted. This year, they learned how much they are cared for and remembered by those outside of their town.

Univera Associates initiated the program and communicated it across the United States resulting in new, individually wrapped gifts arriving in time for Christmas. Univera Corporate office supported the program through gift cards given to school principals to ensure that no child was left out of the gift giving.

“We can’t believe this! The presents just kept arriving – UPS trucks, Post Office trucks – so many packages,” said Ruleville Elementary Principal Bessie Gardner. “We ended up with over 1,000 presents – every child in Ruleville, Mississippi had great presents this Christmas. We’re all so thankful to the people at Univera – they’re wonderful.”

Univera Associates mailed toys, gift wrapped and tagged for girls and boys by age that were distributed before the holiday. Howard Schiffer, President of Vitamin Angels, Univera Serve First’s partner in the Ruleville Nutrition Project, said, “Ruleville Elementary Principal Bessie Gardener is just ecstatic at the generous outpouring of gifts. The children of Ruleville are being nourished by Univera – not just through the Essentials nutrition product, but through heartfelt generosity at this special time of year.”
